CRCM-GCB; The Chief Goliath Beetle, Goliathus cacicus, is a large robust Goliath beetle that are considered extremely rare finds to beetle collectors. They are so sought after because of their incredible iridescent shells, while goliath beetles are somewhat common in the market place, these are not. This particular species has an amazing iridescent shimmer to their shells, much like the morpho butterfly wings. We have two examples in this auction, the first has a shell with a metallic opal shimmer, this is very hard to capture in photography, but in person it looks like a soft velvet white sheen, that glimmers when it’s turned side to side and has hints of lavender purple. A rare opportunity!
From the J. Mullen Collection, you will recieve this exact specimen, spread as shown.
NOTE: A small but expertly done repair underneath on lower leg. Despite the photo tarsi are present on middle legs! They are simply curled under and not captured in photograph.
Our minimum order is $35.00 + $12.95 Shipping and Handling. Regretfully we cannot process orders below this amount.
