The Fruit Piercing Moth, Eudocima phalonia, is a dangerous pest moth to important harvested fruits and crops. The females forewings appear leaf-like in appearance while their hindwings are orange with a brown bordering and swirl symbol detailing.
In 2014, these pest moths made the Priority Pest List. There are no reports of these moths in the United States, however, their tropical origins from Asia to Australia have sightings that have caused severe damage to many fruits and vegetables grown there.
