CRTBC-CPM; The Promethea Silkmoth, Callosamia promethea, is a dark brown charcoal winged silkmoth from Eastern regions of the USA. Its burnt wings have a light tanned bordering from forewing "serpent head-like" wing tips and downwards.
To protect thenselves from nearby predators, they use a similar trait like that of Spicebush butterflies called mimicry, they appear poisonous like Spicebushes that make predators avoid them altogether. This example is a Male specimen.
